**** Youth eligible to participate in this special hunt are those fifteen (15) years of age and younger. Each youth must be in the immediate vicinity and under the direct supervision of an adult twenty one (21) years of age or older. Furthermore, if the child is under the age of twelve (12), the supervising adult must be a licensed or exempt hunter.

Antlered Buck Deer: The bag limit on antlered buck deer is one (1) buck per day, not to exceed three (3) per license year. See below for description of legal bucks. On private lands, a person fifteen (15) years of age or younger may harvest one (1) deer with any hardened antler per license year.

Legal Bucks for Deer Management Zone 1: Only antlered buck deer with antlers of four (4) points or greater may be taken. An antler point is defined as any antler protrusion that would hold any size ring.

Antlerless Deer: The bag limit on antlerless deer is one (1) per day, not to exceed three (3) per license year; except that two (2) additional antlerless deer per license year may be taken with a bow and arrow.

Tags: A minimum of 100 acres must be owned or leased to receive a fall either-sex turkey tag. Fall either-sex turkey tags will be issued at a rate of one tag per 500 acres or part thereof. Tags are issued to a specific property and can only be used on that property. Tags must be attached immediately following harvest, prior to moving the turkey. Tags should remain attached to the turkey until it is processed.
Bag Limit: 1 turkey of either sex per each fall season.
Legal Weapons: Archery and shotguns with shot no larger than number two.
Harvest Reporting: The contact person listed on the fall turkey hunting application must complete and submit a harvest report provided by the MDWFP by January 1, 2007. Failure to comply may result in denial of application for fall turkey hunting in future years.
Areas Open:
Fall turkey season is open in the following counties or portions of counties, on private lands with a minimum of 100 acres, and where the landowner/leaseholder completes a fall turkey hunting application and provides a copy of the property deed or lease agreement at an MDWFP district office or the Jackson office.

Delta Zone:

Bolivar - West of the main Mississippi River levee and those lands east of the main Mississippi River levee known as 27 Break Hunting Club
Coahoma, Issaquena, Tunica, Desoto, and Washington - West of the main Mississippi River levee

North-Central Zone:

Benton, Lafayette, Marshall, Panola, Tippah, Union

Southwestern Zone:

Adams,Amite,Claiborne,Copiah,Hinds,Franklin,Jefferson,Lincoln,Madison, Warren, Wilkinson, Yazoo
